Join us for Country Christmas on December 7, 2013

We're celebrating the holidays at Abode Gallery. Join us for our Country Christmas event this Saturday, December 7. You'll find exquisite decor items, as well as locally crafted and unique art, music and jewelry. You're sure to find the perfect gift for nearly everyone on your list (and maybe an item or two for yourself).

Consider this your sneak peek...

Here's what's in store for you at Abode Gallery's Country Christmas event.

We'll also be welcoming some special guests that day... Richard Erickson, the talented artist behind our amazing granite wine racks and candles, will be in the Gallery meeting visitors, as will Lucy Elliot, local jewelry designer.

Mary Logue, author and poet, will be signing her books for Gallery visitors. We have several of her titles in stock, including her latest book of poetry, Trees, and her children’s book, Sleep like a Tiger, which holds the #1 spot on Apartment Therapy’s “20 Most Beautiful Children’s Books” list.

In addition, The DitchLillies will be performing holiday music as only they can (from 12-3pm). Go ahead and tap your toe; you won't be able to resist!

Plan to spend the entire day in the area; there’s plenty to do along the Great River Road during West Coast of Wisconsin’s “Coastal Christmas”, which is also taking place on December 7. Find the details here.

Sandra Shaughnessy will discuss and demonstrate her stoneware and porcelain pottery this Saturday.

We have a couple of events going on this weekend which we invite you to attend.  The first is Country Christmas.  The stores are decorated to the hilt.  You’ll find food and special events all over town.  Santa will be visiting.  Saturday evening the world famous Hot Flashes will be performing at the Widespot.  Come join the fun!

Saturday is also the first day of our new artist talk series.  Whether you are an artist, an art lover, or a collector, we hope you will listen and learn from each unique artist at these talks every upcoming Saturday.

At 2:30 Sandra Shaughnessy will discuss and demonstrate her stoneware and porcelain pottery that are soda-fired.  The result is an orange-warm pebbly surface.  Stop by, hear Sandra’s talk, and see her incredible pieces.  You’ll be glad you did.
