Just in - Gaylord’s new work, “The Map” and “The Surprise.”
I am excited to show you Gaylord Schanilec’s new work, “The Map.” I wasn’t expecting to see this for quite a while, but yesterday we were the first ones to see it.
Gaylord has been working on this for years. Although Gaylord based the work on current geographical maps, he also has a great deal of historical reference in it.
“The Map” has painting-like pieces inserted. It is just beautiful and has the amazing detail for which Gaylord is famous. We also just received Gaylord’s new piece, “The Surprise,” featuring his trusty boat. You have to see this work. Stop in and take a look at both pieces. You’ll be glad you did.

At this Saturday’s artist talk, experience the pottery of S C Rolf.
I invite you meet S C Rolf this Saturday. I love Steve’s thoughtful glazes and shapes. He works from the inside out, creating function first and then imbuing the pieces with beauty. His glazes sometimes act like a veil over the design.
Although Steve has won numerous awards and some of his pieces are in museums, he creates for the kitchen cupboard. He wants his pieces to be used every day. The character of Steve’s pieces must be seen and touched to be truly appreciated.
The forecast for Saturday is so warm that it is practically tropical. Take a break down the prettiest drive in America to Abode Gallery at Stockholm. Find out how Steve gets his inspiration and look at his pieces up close. You’ll be glad you did.
